The Taming of the Shrew

Jun 27, 2026 - Jul 12, 2026

by: William Shakespeare

“The Taming of the Shrew” is a biting comedy known for its witty battle of the sexes, one that satirizes the performative nature of courtship. The plot centers on the headstrong Katharina, who defiantly resists the social pressures of marriage. Her younger sister, Bianca, is her polar opposite—a “perfect” maiden besieged by suitors. However, their father refuses to let Bianca wed until Katharina is settled. This leads two of Bianca’s rivals to recruit the eccentric Petruchio to “tame” and marry the elder sister. As seen in modern adaptations like “10 Things I Hate About You” and “Kiss Me, Kate” the play remains a vital, if controversial, exploration of gender dynamics and power.

Love, Loss and What I Wore

Jul 17, 2026 - Jul 19, 2026

Clothes define us.  For many women, there is a strong relationship between clothing and important moments in our lives.  But this play is not just about clothing.  It’s about the memory of shopping with your mother for your prom dress or wedding gown.  The reminiscence of what you wore on your first date; a cherished sweater handed down to you by family.  Boots; purses; accessories.  There are a variety of women on stage all sharing personal moments and concerns through their monologues.  The dialogue is compelling; the humor is quiet.  The happy and bittersweet moments will take you down memory lane.
